When my rather old Powerbook stopped working I was told it probably wasn’t worth spending money on it but Alex did a great job cleaning it up and generally repairing the damage done by me. His rates are surprising low, he’s fast and efficient and he’s happy to give you advice. A really great find.
When my Macbook’s DVD drive died, the timing couldn’t have been worse — I was due to leave for a six week overseas trip a couple of days later. Alex agreed to drive to my house to fix it right away; unfortunately he got stuck in an enormous traffic jam about five minutes from my house and sat in stationary traffic for half an hour before giving up and returning home. We agreed to try again. This time everything went perfectly; he was on time, personable, and did a great and very reasonably priced job. Additionally he didn’t penalise me for the considerable time he spent stuck in the traffic jam and travelling for the previous attempt, which I thought was generous. All in all, I’m very pleased, and will use him again.
