I was apprehensive at first but this guy is fantastic. He met me at work, I watched him replace the glass and digitizer on my phone with care and precision and he returned it to me looking brand new. I had to replace the hard disk on my PowerBook G4 and all my anxieties about high costs and lose of data were put to rest. Within minutes Alex sent me helpful links and assured me that none of my files will be lost. Including email. It’s never a good time to depart from my computer. Alex turned around the job the in less than 24 hours juggling other projects too and all at a fraction of what it would have cost elsewhere.

I broke the screen to my iPhone 3GS after having it for only one week and the Apple Store replacement cost was much more than I wanted to pay. I did a search and luckily found Alex’s website and he was really helpful from the start. He sourced the screen very quickly and repaired it within a couple of hours on the day I could get it to him. When my Macbook’s DVD drive died, the timing couldn’t have been worse — I was due to leave for a six week overseas trip a couple of days later. Alex agreed to drive to my house to fix it right away; unfortunately he got stuck in an enormous traffic jam about five minutes from my house and sat in stationary traffic for half an hour before giving up and returning home. We agreed to try again. This time everything went perfectly; he was on time, personable, and did a great and very reasonably priced job. Additionally he didn’t penalise me for the considerable time he spent stuck in the traffic jam and travelling for the previous attempt, which I thought was generous. All in all, I’m very pleased, and will use him again.

Replacement iPhone 3G glass. Very helpful individual who completed the work quickly and very neatly! Due to flat phone battery made his way to meet me at the tube station rather than the pre-arranged address.

When my iMac hard drive passed away, I browsed online for a company who would be able to install a new one. Several companies offer Mac upgrades, but charge for collection, return, components and then the work. I emailed LoveMac and had fantastic communication, recommending drives and quoting a very reasonable fee. I was outside the catchment area but agreed a call out cost – not needing to package up my Mac and deliver it to someone was a big plus. I found the best priced drive online, bought it and arranged a date for the install. The guy from LoveMac was friendly and just got the work done. Drive installed great and all up and running.

I highly recommend Alex. He did some diagnostics then arranged to get my laptop fixed within the years warranty, I was surprised at his honesty, so I recommended him to a friend who was having problems with their Mac.
His machine was quite badly damaged and Alex managed to fix it without loss of any data, (my friend was over the moon – he thought he’d lost years of contacts and emails).
I now call Alex whenever I have a problem, he is very efficient and seems to get to the root of any problems that are there, without messing about.

When my rather old Powerbook stopped working I was told it probably wasn’t worth spending money on it but Alex did a great job cleaning it up and generally repairing the damage done by me. His rates are surprising low, he’s fast and efficient and he’s happy to give you advice. A really great find.
